DAY 1: CUSCO

Arrive at any time.
Arrive early and get to explore the Incan city of Cusco. Meet group and check in for start time in the morning.

DAY 2: CUSCO / INCA TRAIL

Leave Cusco in a van to km 82 where the Inca Trail starts. An easy day of hiking through streams, with some ancient Incan ruins and Andean vistas.
Journey through a variety of flora that changes with the seasons and trek past some smaller ruins such as Llactapata.
Your cooks, guides and porters will take care of most of the necessities throughout the course of your journey. The only items you will be caring will be a small day pack with any rain gear, snacks, personal water, camera, etc.

INCA TRAIL HIKE
• Inca Trail KM 82 – Wayllabamba Camp 5-6h 7mi

Get your body moving on your first day on the Inca Trail. Pretty easy trekking to prepare your body for the next couple of days. A taste for what’s yet to come

Please note that today’s included tour of Napoli Sotteranea Underground City is on a join-in basis, which means that there will be other participants apart from our group members.

DAY 3: INCA TRAIL

Make an early start to climb up the long steep path to Warmiwañusca, or Dead Woman’s Pass. This will be your highest peak of the trek at 4,198m (13,769 ft). The majority of groups reach camp just after lunch.

INCA TRAIL HIKE
• Wayllabamba Camp – Paqaymayo Camp 6-7h 7.5 mi

Get your body moving on your first day on the Inca Trail. Pretty easy trekking to prepare your body for the next couple of days. A taste for what’s yet to come
Move along continually steeper terrain until reaching Dead Woman’s Pass. On the pass be ready for strong sun or cold winds depending. You will find amazing views a the top

DAY 4: INCA TRAIL

Pass more ruins and passes on this last full day of hiking. Runquraqay will be the first pass at 3,950m (13,113 ft). On a clear day you will have views of the gorgeous Cordillera Vilcabamba. Journey through the cloud forest to reach the second pass of the day while walking through Incan Ruins at 3,700 m (12,136 ft). On a clear day you will get astonishing views of the Urubamba Valley.
As you start to descend you will reach the ruins of Phuuyupatamarca or if you are feeling good continue to Wiñay Wayna ruins.

DAY 5: MACHU PICCHU/CUSCO

Your last day on the Inca Trail will be a pre-dawn start to catch the Sun Gate at sunrise. Get this exclusive view to those on the Inca Trail on a clear day. Journey down for a tour of Machu Picchu and explore at your free will.
Take the bus or hike to Aguas Calientes and return to Ollantaytambo via train. Making it too Cusco by evening.
